The Kara illustrates perfectly why we adore pinks with soothing browns. The front side showcases this combination with ease; warm and inviting, feminine yet not overly so. The reverse is white with pale blue with a cheery square of faded dark pink — it’s also and wonderfully unblemished, a rarity with vintage textiles. The two sides, while different, sync delightfully and easily represent a distinctive textile for the home.
We hand select all our kantha in Jaipur. Our standards are high, only choosing those with exceptional design and/or colour — specifically seeking out all-over patterns to complement our English homes. The storied fabrics found in vintage kantha are distinctive and add appreciated character to our interiors. Their uses are endless and their value timeless.
