The Leila is a beautiful blend of warm mustard yellow, accompanied by a spring green and bordered on 3 sides by a delightful pink & green Indian block print border. Her reverse side is an easy light subtle stripe pattern offset by 3 embroidered star flowers. Front and back, while different, compliment each other perfectly — no having to hide the reverse side with this character-filled kantha.
We hand-select all our kantha in Jaipur and those gracing these pages are chosen for their colour, composition, pattern or a combination of all three. As with all vintage fabrics, there can be signs of age which only reflect the beauty inherent in storied fabrics. The Leila does have a faint marking (please see photos) on the white side but it blends in easily with the design and does not detract from enjoyment of this lovely.
