Malak is a swirly colourful kantha full of joyful vibes and easy character. The gorgeous pattern of soft and complimenting shades completes both sides and is edged with a winning green border. Smaller in stature (which we always adore) she’s über useful in endless ways–draped over chair, adorning a sofa or covering a cute body–a truly portable work of art. Happily, the Malak boasts intricate stitching, the telltale sign of high quality kantha.
All kantha we sell on these pages are vintage, fabrics that have been stitched together in the past and have a story behind them. The Malak is lovely, she wouldn’t be here if she were not.. but she does have signs of wear which does not detract from her beauty but does discount her price.

Our kantha are hand block printed (and occasionally hand screen printed) in Indian cotton. Given vintage fabrics are used, small imperfections and signs of wear may be found and are part of the charm.
