Colour combinations that work, this is the Nahed kantha. A dark coral/light-tomato-red coupled with off-white, accented by black and a barely-there touch of muted gold. Who would have thought? Yet it’s glorious. Dainty design, surprising offsets, captivating from a distance, wonderful up-close.
The reverse in a spectacular blend of reds and oranges, also accompanied by dots in black and a spectacular edging in a faded gold (read: not gaudy) embroidery. Sophisticated, intoxicating and wonderful worn, and one of those cases where it’s all infinitely better for being so.
