The Gia Kantha is an ode to beautiful soft greens. On one side, large panels of perfectly shades of green host block print of paisley and scrolling vine motifs. The reverse, a splendid mix of soft green with pinks in a very western-leaning design. The two sides are different but the colors and patterns perfectly compliment one another. A gorgeously relaxed and character-filled kantha.
Commonly found in kantha, there are patches sprinkled in the Gia. On either side, there is one noticeable square of mismatched bold design in sharper green hues.
These patches can either be embraced as a nod to typical kantha style–or one might cut that length of the design in order to enjoy a seamless all-over pattern. Cutting kantha?? Yes. The hallmark of kantha are the tiny hand stitches throughout the entire fabric so any cut leaves the remainder completely untouched with no finishing required. The price reflects this optionality.
