The Penelope Kantha is one of those wonderful rare breeds where both sides, though different, are equally lovely — and choosing which to feature in that first little square on the product page is tricky.
One side is a delicate open plaid featuring a warm, subtle pink & an easy mid-toned green against a light tan/beige background. The other a beautiful melange of purple and white with touches of a green showing off a beautiful block print and rich, heavenly border panel running through. Both sides boast all-over designs (which we love). A picture is worth a thousand words. Let’s hope these do Penelope justice.
Vintage kantha often have perfect imperfections which add to their charm. Shenouk hand selects all kantha within the collection and we view all as worthy of our English homes–which kantha is just a matter of taste.
