The Gwen is distinguished, character-filled, and warm — slim navy & red stripes on a beige background. Reminiscent of what might be found strewn across a roughened Windsor chair in the pages of an interiors magazine — a photo shoot in that retro 1970s finish. Perhaps in a kitchen with a working Inglenook where earthenware jugs line up across the top. Or across the end of a bed with mismatched patterned bedding and a cricket table serving by bedside. She will bring that special dignity with her wherever she calls home.
We hand select all our kantha in Jaipur. As with all vintage kantha, there may be signs of wear, those beautiful wrinkles that come with time, but we ensure all our choices are long-lasting pieces for the English home. The Gwen is in excellent shape.
